At the farm

We were good and ready for some relaxing down time by the time we made it to the farm and that is just what we got. We did have a few problems to work out with getting the new plates for the truck and getting a saftey and e test done, but we were actually able to get an extension on our temporary plates so that we could wait until we got back to Kitchener area to worry about it.

The day that we got to the farm, after all the crazy adventures we went through to get there was pretty great. Ada said to me that the farm just feels like home. She said I know we have never actually lived here but it just feels like coming home. It brought a little tear to my eye.

We had pretty amazing weather while we were there and we spent a few evenings out at Rock Lake cooling off and getting ourselves clean “farm style.”

The kids spent most of their days riding around on 4 wheelers, out in the forest together building an amazing fort, or running around on the merry go round and getting the dirtiest feet I have ever seen in my life.

It is pretty wonderful how all the cousins love to hang out and play so well together even though they only see each other a couple times a year.

On our way back to Kitchener we stopped in Parry Sound and took a picture in front of our trailer at the same spot we had taken a picture a year before at the start of our journey. Here they are side by side: the kids have grown so much!

We spent a couple of days at Ian and Alisha’s house visiting with them and Nicole, Asher and Carys. We spent some time at the beach, hung out around the campfire and went to the zoo.
